Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026. This policy explains what information Voqusa collects when you use voqusa.com and the Voqusa browser extension, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

Account details. When you create an account we store your email address. Sign-in is handled by Supabase: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google; if you use a password, it is stored by Supabase in hashed form and we never see it.

Content you submit. We store the video links and files you submit, the transcripts we generate, the questions you ask the AI assistant and its answers, and the summaries, translations, dubs and clips you create, so they stay available in your library. Transcripts created without an account are stored too, linked to a random device ID kept in your browser or extension; if you later sign in there, they move into your account.

Payments. Purchases are processed by Stripe, and we never receive your full card number. We keep a record of each purchase, your credit balance and your Stripe customer ID. Stripe may collect your billing address and, if you need an invoice, a tax ID. If you turn on auto top-up, Stripe keeps your card on file so it can be charged when your balance runs low.

Messages. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and IP address, delivered to our inbox by email. Account deletion requests reach us the same way.

Information collected automatically

With every request we receive your IP address, browser type, language and approximate country. We use the country to choose a language and regional pricing, and short-lived IP-based counters to limit abuse of free features. To enforce free-usage limits for visitors without an account, we also use a random device ID or a one-way hash of your IP address, browser and language.

We use PostHog to understand how Voqusa is used and to fix problems. PostHog records the pages you visit, clicks, errors and session recordings of how you interact with the site. When you are signed in, this activity is linked to your account and email address.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that the site needs to work: your sign-in session, a signed cookie that tracks your free-usage allowance (30 days), your language preference (1 year), and a random device ID. PostHog sets its own cookie and local storage for analytics, and embedded YouTube players may set YouTube cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and improve Voqusa, run your account, credits and purchases, answer your messages, prevent abuse and fraud, and diagnose errors. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share information with service providers only as needed to run Voqusa: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Supabase (accounts and database), Upstash (rate limiting), Stripe (payments), PostHog (analytics) and Google (email delivery). To produce transcripts and AI features we send content to Apify (fetching audio and video from the links you submit), OpenAI and Deepgram (speech-to-text on audio), DeepSeek (summaries, chat and translation of transcript text) and MiniMax (generating voices for dubs from script text).

These providers operate in the United States and other countries, including China for DeepSeek and MiniMax, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Public transcripts

Your transcripts are private by default. If you choose to make a transcript public, anyone with its link can view it and it may appear in search engines.

How long we keep information

We keep your account details, transcripts, AI chats and library items for as long as your account exists. Transcripts created without an account are kept until they move into an account or are deleted on request. Temporary uploads are deleted within 24 hours; the audio from an uploaded file is kept with its transcript so you can play it back. Clips you do not keep in your library are deleted within 24 hours. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you delete your account, we keep a one-way hash of your email address, which cannot be turned back into the address, so that the free signup credits cannot be claimed again.

Your choices and rights

You can delete AI chats and library items such as dubs and clips yourself. To delete your account, send a deletion request from your account settings: we process requests by hand within 7 days and remove your account, transcripts and remaining credits, keeping only records the law requires, such as purchase records. To access, correct or delete any other information, including individual transcripts, contact us through the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; you can exercise them the same way.

Children

Voqusa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page. Material changes will be noted with an updated 'Last updated' date at the top of the policy.
